Food safety training is a mandatory requirement for staff working in food manufacturing and hospitality environments. By law, staff who handle food, must be trained according to their level of responsibility.

New allergy Labelling Legislation
The law regarding sales of packaged and pre-packaged food has changed. On 13 Dec 2014, Food Information for Consumers Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 came into force and this means that you will need to provide accurate information to your customers about the content of your food with regard to allergens – see attached link for useful info from the Food Standards Agency
Just to be clear about the importance of allergen labelling and ensuring you correctly tell the customer what is in their food, here is a link to the sad case of Paul Wilson who was served a meal containing peanuts, despite clearly asking for one without nuts – Peanut curry death: Restaurant owner Mohammed Zaman Jailed.
