HACCP Training
HACCP Training
T&G Training will be running a Level 3 HACCP Training Course in the Darlington area on 23/24 May, followed by Level 2 HACCP Training on the 28th of May.
T&G Training are highly successful in the delivery of Food Safety courses to national food companies. By attending these courses we can help your staff to become part of an effective HACCP team.
Why do I need HACCP Training
If you run a food business will know that Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 requires that ‘those responsible for the development and maintenance of the HACCP principles [within a food company] have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP principles’. In other words, you must have a food safety management system in place and train your staff in its safe operation.
HACCP principles apply to both manufacturing and catering environments, so whether you run a food production company, a pub, hotel, restaurant or cafe, you need to have a “food safety management system” in place.
How does HACCP Training help my business?
These HACCP training courses will enable you to develop, implement, maintain and evaluate your company HACCP based procedures and ensure that the food you supply to your customers is safe. This will reduce the risk of food poisoning and food complaints and assist in the provision of a due diligence defence.
Who should attend HACCP Training
Level 3 HACCP Training is ideal for those responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the HACCP systems. It is suitable for those owning/managing smaller food businesses to give them the underpinning knowledge to implement an appropriate food safety management system based on HACCP principles.
Level 2 HACCP Training is ideally suited to staff who work in food production and are part of a HACCP team.
There are no prerequisites for these qualifications, although learners should have a sound knowledge of food safety hazards and their controls. It is also advised that learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.
